Portraits

Kris' first love in art is portraits, figure drawing, and pet portraits. You may commission your own portrait using the contact form below. Not all requests are accepted. Kris will need to review several reference photos you will provide and projects will be accepted based on how it aligns with her style as well as availability.

Portraits may be of people or pets and may be done in the following mediums: graphite, charcoal, colored pastel, or a combination. the choice will be made through a conversation of the best options for your outcome goal. 

All portraits will come with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.

Steps to Request a Commissioned Portrait

  1. Fill out the contact form below
  2. Respond to an introductory email from Kris
  3. Send 2 - 3 reference photos. Be sure they are high quality, clear images. Low quality images will not be used.
  4. Pay 50% non-refundable deposit of agreed upon price. Price will be determined by size, complexity, and chosen medium. 
  5. Progress photos will be sent during the process to ensure that the artwork is meeting your expectation. 1-2 changes are allowed, if able. Additional change requests will incur additional cost.
  6. If at anytime you choose to not complete your portrait, or to not pay the final amount, the artwork remains the property of Kris Vaughan Fine Art and may be used for any and all purposes chosen by the artist.
  7. Final payment and shipping fee will be due prior to shipment.
  8. Kris Vaughan retains the copyright of the artwork. Portraits may not be reproduced in any format without the written consent of Kris Vaughan.
